Just back from a tough week , demo riding the 2017 Cannondale Cujo 3, and cooking my own tea.
In between the day job.
Its your fairly basic spec 27.5+ fat tyred hardtail.
Burly aluminium frame , with a Shimano 2x9 ( 9x2 ? , 18 speed ) drivetrain.
If you are looking for a decent , fuss free mountainbike , that is pretty versatile , this is worth considering.
Grip from the tyres is awesome , and the large volume goes a long way to increasing comfort/ offroad capability.
The overall diameter is about the same as a 29er , so it bobs along very nicely.
They are the type of bike that are nipping at the heels of a full susser , with less maintenance issues.
I've been up on the Cumbrian coast with work , so its been an evening antidote to the days travails.
Nothing too hardcore , but with the tyre pressure low , I did some pebble-y beach stupidity , and then , pumped up harder , some roadie / offroad hoofs , taking in the ridiculous climb up to St Bees cliffs , for a sunset view of Snaefell.
Bike performed flawlessly.
I walked a bit. It was SO steep , the front wheel was lifting .
Its important to get the tyres right on these bikes.
I've had some that are less than good , and replacements are dearer than a ' regular ' MTB .
Fortunately then , these seem pretty good.
Not great in mud , but thats more to do with the width , than anything else. They float on top.
Lovely serene place.
Last night , on the road to St Bees , I was passed by one car.
Heading back , in the other direction an hour or so later , one car.
The same one.
I hit 40odd MPH . Which was tasty.
Not as tasty as my Tuna/Pasta/Pesto bullshit, though.
This bike is available to demo via your local friendly bike retailer , Alans Bikes.

I cant really fault it.
The bars are a modern width. i.e./too wide.
Its an entry level (£750) bike , that you can do " proper " MTBing on , that isnt out of place knocking out some miles.Cannondale 2017 Cujo 3 27 Plus Mountain Bike Neon Spring
